Falling off the wagon

eww and aww. It is both gross and depressing that I have failed and fallen off the wagon sooo quick!! I have been very good about my porportions and eating choices, sometimes, but it is hard to always keep track of it. Even though it's easy as hell since it's an application on my phone.

But after my 7th failed attempt doing a Century, it was really easy for me to derail from my progress. Then after the Century there was Disneyland Fun with some awesome ladies.

Resting from my epic yet tragic weekend took 2 days. *sigh*

My life has been impacted tremendously by fundraising for the AIDS LIFECYCLE. It is a hard time and even harder asking for moniez. So let me just blurp it on here real quick I'll write a real post about it later, when I have time and am not at work..

In less than 8 weeks I shall be riding my bike 545 miles from S.F. to L.A. to raise awareness and fundz for people living with HIV/AIDS.

In order for me to participate at this event I must raise a minimum of $3,000 and 10% in for my goal.. So make yourself a sandwich for lunch, and donate what you were going to spend here

Thanks

My nephew's Birthday party is this weekend and this week has been focused on that. I really tried going to the gym last night, but when picked up from the bus stop, I was held hostage to make some last minute runs to the store, when I just wanted to go home, eat dinner, rest a bit, then hit the gym like before. *sigh*

So here I am eating right and counting as much calories possible, but not working out as much as I'd like. After Pirate Party/Easter Weekend I plan on getting back on my stationary steed and spin as much as possible.

Here is to wishful thinking.

Spin, Spin Sugar.

Using my old gym membership that I have had for two years now, I went ahead and looked up the schedule for spinning classes, which I really feared since I heard they were ridiculous hard.

Mon: 4:45pm- 5:45pm
Wed: 4:45pm- 5-45pm
 Sat:  8:15am-  9:15am

Seeing that the Monday or Wednesday options were impossible since I get out of work at 4:30pm monday - friday, I decided to try out the Saturday morning class since I stayed in Anaheim this weekend.

The night before my spinning class I was terrified of what would come out of it. I have heard some stories of how difficult they were, and was intimidated seeing how it would be my first class with an instructor. I hate waking up early on weekends, but I was up and ready for my class. Class was at 8:15am and I was there locking up my bike at 8:10 thinking I was running a bit late, I get to the studio and the lights were out... umm where's my instructor?? NO ONE KNEW!!

Frustrated as hell, I wait... Finally around 8:25am my instructor shows up, she doesn't look happy to be there. I wouldn't be happy either if I were walking around with PINK EYE... eww.. but she promised to stay away from everyone and everything, which I thought was fair enough, everyone being myself, man in his 40's, and the pink eye infested instructor.

Spinning can be fun with an instructor.. when she decided to instruct, that is. My instructor was telling the world about how she got pink eye, and the other guy in the class wasn't even paying attention to what she was instructing, 1/2 way through he gave up and walked away.

People slowly starting coming in for the following class which was yoga, an older man came in and just started talking to us. He was very sweet and was telling us he was a 5x CANCER SURVIVOR. His doctors had told him that the reasons he kept beating it was because he was very active and always watched what he ate.

He continued on telling me that he liked my smile and was impressed that I was spinning as fast as I was and was not out of breath. After my class he came up to me and told me that more girls should be like myself, that being a "full figured girl" was okay if I had a positive attitude such as I did. I had to giggle a little, because this is exactly what I was doing, this is the message that I am trying to get across, and he had no idea.
